Meet Amanda
Studio Owner & Level 2 Pilates Practitioner
Amanda is the heart behind the studio—owner, Pilates and strength teacher, and the one who keeps everything running behind the scenes.
She began teaching group reformer classes in 2020 and completed her comprehensive Diploma in Pilates in 2021. While she thrives on the energy of group classes, Amanda has a special passion for the lesser-known Pilates equipment. She leads the studio’s Circuit and LIFT classes and works closely with clients through private and duo sessions.
Amanda is deeply passionate about helping people build—or rebuild—strength, especially those navigating injuries, limitations, or a lack of confidence. She believes we don’t move enough in modern life, and is committed to making movement both accessible and purposeful.
Her teaching is grounded in the studio’s philosophy of movement with purpose, with a strong focus on helping clients “train for old age”—because strength isn’t just about how you move today, but how you’ll move in 10, 20, and 30 years.
Amanda continues to invest in her education, holding a Certificate III in Fitness and currently exploring further study. She has a growing interest in human anatomy, particularly the role of the feet and in building strong, connected movement patterns throughout the body.
For Amanda, the studio isn’t just a place to exercise—it’s a space where people can reconnect with their bodies and feel capable again. These days, much of her focus is on supporting the broader team and shaping the experience within the studio as a whole.
What to expect in Amanda’s classes:
- Group Reformer: Full-body awareness, even when you least expect it.
- Circuit Classes: Variety, creativity, and all the “fun toys” as you move through different shapes and patterns.
- LIFT: A “what if?” approach; what if you tried the heavier weight, trusted your body more, or pushed just a little further?
- Privates & Duos: A personalised approach built around your goals—with a few thoughtful challenges along the way.
Outside the studio, Amanda is a devoted dog lover (dogs are often greeted before humans) and a passionate traveller—when time allows. Right now, she’s dreaming of a cold-weather escape, with Scotland or Ireland at the top of her list.
Meet the team
Adrienne
Diploma/Comprehensive Pilates Teacher
Adrienne brings a rich movement background to the studio, with over a decade of experience as a professional contemporary dancer. After training in Mat Pilates during ballet school, she continued using its principles throughout her 13-year dance career, touring internationally as both a company member and freelancer. Postnatally, Pilates became a vital part of her return to movement, sparking a deep desire to learn more and eventually become an instructor herself.
Adrienne is a Level One Pilates Practitioner member of the PAA.
Now fully immersed in the Pilates world, Adrienne is passionate about working with clients of all backgrounds—from complete beginners to experienced movers, and across a wide range of physical abilities. She thrives on the diversity of bodies and learning styles, and loves the creativity and continual discovery that the equipment studio allows.
Adrienne’s teaching style is grounded in curiosity, connection, and care. She especially enjoys the versatility of exercises like the Pelvic Curl, which she could happily teach all day thanks to its endless variations and focus areas. Her own favourite movements to practice are Swan on the High Barrel and Monkey Stretch on the Cadillac—beautiful combinations of strength, extension, and release.
For Adrienne, the most rewarding part of her work is helping people build confidence and connect to their bodies through movement. Whether they’re recovering, exploring, or simply carving out time for themselves, she finds great joy in supporting each person’s unique Pilates journey.
Outside the studio, Adrienne is usually out adventuring with her kids (often up Mt. Coot-tha), learning to ride a bike (“humbling,” she says), or enjoying a well-earned coffee.
Xanthe
Comprehensive Pilates Teacher
Xanthe has been teaching Pilates since 2019 and completed her Full Studio Comprehensive Certification through Body Organics Education in 2026. She enjoys working with people of all fitness and experience levels, with a focus on functional movement and helping clients build confidence in what their bodies can do.
Xanthe’s love for Pilates came as a surprise. Without a background in fitness and as a self-described “indoorsy type,” she first tried Pilates at the encouragement of a friend. What started as curiosity quickly became a joyful practice that changed her perspective on movement and helped her discover the mind-body connection. Her philosophy is that every day you show up for yourself is a win—your best effort may look different from one day to the next, and those “little wins” are always worth celebrating.
Becoming comprehensively trained has allowed Xanthe to become even more creative and individual in her approach to movement. She loves that the Equipment Studio moves away from a “one-size-fits-all” approach, giving her the freedom to create programs that work with each person’s body, goals and physical limitations.
As Xanthe puts it, working in a fully equipped Pilates studio is a bit like cooking in a fully stocked kitchen. There are countless ways to approach the same goal, and sometimes a different piece of equipment is exactly what you need: “You could stir cake mix with a fork, but sometimes you just need a whisk.”
Whether you’re looking to complement an established fitness routine, improve strength, stability and mobility, or simply become more confident with movement, Xanthe brings detailed guidance, creative programming and plenty of supportive enthusiasm along the way.
Outside of Pilates, Xanthe is an avid Star Trek fan and devoted cat lover. So feel free to ask her about her cat…or Captain Picard!
Angela
Diploma/Comprehensive Pilates Teacher
Angela brings a thoughtful and holistic approach to teaching, combining the precision of Pilates with mobility and strength training to help clients move with ease, build resilience, and reconnect with their bodies. Her passion lies in working one-on-one or with small groups in the fully equipped studio, where she can tailor sessions to meet individual needs and goals.
Angela is a Level One Pilates Practitioner member of the PAA.
With a strong focus on breath, deep core activation, and alignment, Angela loves working with clients managing injuries, health conditions, or those seeking a deeper, more mindful Pilates practice. Whether you’re rebuilding strength, improving mobility, or refining your technique, her goal is to guide you with care and intention.
Her teaching is driven by the belief that movement is medicine. She finds deep reward in watching clients grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies each week.
In her own practice, Angela enjoys spinal articulation work—especially Tower on the Cadillac and Pole Roll—for the way these exercises lengthen, strengthen, and bring awareness to the whole spine.
When she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find her on the Cadillac herself, at ballet or martial arts, or exploring new patisseries around Brisbane in search of the perfect pastry and coffee combo.
Peri
Reformer Pilates instructor
With a degree in paramedicine and over eight years of experience as an internationally qualified gymnastics coach, Peri has a deep understanding of the human body and a passion for helping others. Her unique background allows her to bring precision, care, and creativity to her teaching, bridging her love for movement with her dedication to promoting health and well-being.
Peri’s journey into Pilates was a natural evolution of her commitment to empowering others through movement. She takes a mindful and holistic approach to teaching. Her focus is on helping clients find awareness, alignment, and breath to support strength, mobility, and overall well-being. For Peri, every movement has purpose, and she strives to make her classes accessible, intentional, and meaningful.
In her classes, clients can expect a strong emphasis on breath, core connection, and technique. Peri’s teaching style is approachable and fun – she’s known for her lighthearted storytelling, occasional mix-ups of lefts and rights, and even the odd tumble over a reformer (Peri, not her clients!), ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
Whether working with adults or children, Peri’s passion lies in creating personal connections and fostering confidence in her clients. She believes movement is a powerful way to celebrate what the body can achieve, and her background in both paramedicine and gymnastics informs her ability to tailor her approach to every individual’s needs.
Crystal
Yoga teacher
Crystal is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher with over 12 years of personal practice and 3 years of teaching experience. She blends mobility movements with yoga flows to help students build strength while improving flexibility and mobility.
Her teaching philosophy centres around “movement with purpose.” Crystal believes each pose and practice should serve a deeper intention—whether it’s to cultivate strength, find stillness, or foster self-awareness. She creates a space where movement becomes a mindful expression, helping students connect with their bodies and breath in a meaningful way.
Crystal discovered yoga over a decade ago during a challenging time in her life. What began as a quest for physical fitness quickly became a journey of self-discovery and healing. Yoga now serves as a cornerstone in her life, helping her navigate stress and cultivate inner peace. This personal connection fuels her passion for teaching and sharing the transformative benefits of yoga.
In her classes, students can expect a thoughtful blend of techniques and mindfulness. With a focus on proper alignment and breath work, Crystal’s sessions aim to enhance both the physical practice and mental clarity, leaving participants feeling rejuvenated and empowered.
Outside the studio, Crystal is an avid traveler who loves exploring new cultures and cuisines. She believes adventure and yoga go hand in hand and often draws inspiration from her travels to enrich her teaching.
Tanya
Reformer Pilates Instructor
Tanya is a certified Personal Trainer, Reformer Pilates teacher and group fitness instructor with over 12 years of experience in the fitness industry. She holds Certificates III and IV in Fitness, along with qualifications in Matwork and Reformer Pilates. Over the years, she has worked across outdoor group fitness, personal training, Pilates, gym and circuit training, bringing a wealth of experience to both our Pilates and LIFT classes.
Tanya is passionate about mindful, intentional movement that strengthens both the body and the mind. Whether working with Pilates equipment or weights in a LIFT class, she values purposeful movement, strong foundations and good technique. She believes discipline is more powerful than motivation—while motivation may come and go, discipline builds lasting strength, resilience and growth.
A lifelong lover of sport and exercise, Tanya has always felt that movement brings a sense of vitality, balance and emotional wellbeing. Her interest in Pilates began nearly a decade ago after noticing many clients lacked core awareness and foundational strength. This inspired her to explore Pilates more deeply and help others develop strength from the inside out.
In Tanya’s classes, clients can expect a supportive and encouraging environment with a strong focus on technique and mind–muscle connection. She uses clear cues and precise instruction to help clients engage the right muscles, move with intention and get the most out of every exercise.
Outside the studio, Tanya finds joy in gardening—especially tending to her daisies. It’s her happy place, where she loves creating beautiful spaces and then sitting back to enjoy the view.
Emily
Certified Yoga Instructor
Emily is a certified yoga instructor with a 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training and a long-standing connection to the practice. Introduced to yoga early on through her mum, she developed a natural affinity for movement and now teaches with a focus on Vinyasa and Hatha sequencing.
Emily’s teaching style is fluid, intuitive, and deeply personal. She describes her classes as a “dance” with her students—offering open, flowing sequences that invite each person to move in a way that feels right for their body. For her, yoga is a way to tune into both physical and mental states, using movement as a tool for awareness and connection. Even in a room full of new faces, she creates a space that feels warm, inclusive, and shared.
In Emily’s classes, clients can expect a strong focus on presence, breathwork (Pranayama), and intuitive movement. Her sessions are open-ended and exploratory, giving you the space to listen to your body and take what you need from the practice. As she says, “Just come to our class, be yourself, and yoga will do the rest!”
Emily’s love for yoga runs deep—she feels strong and at home in her practice… but put her on a Pilates reformer and, in her words, “it won’t be pretty!”
Outside the studio, Emily enjoys reading, gardening, and surfing, embracing a lifestyle that keeps her connected to both movement and nature.
Emily
Personal Trainer & Strength Coach
Emily teaches our LIFT classes and works with clients through personal training, helping people build strength, confidence, and sustainable fitness through resistance training. A qualified Personal Trainer and Strength Coach, she coaches in both group fitness and one-on-one environments, including at F45 Pullenvale and through private training sessions.
Emily’s teaching philosophy is simple: strength training should be purposeful, accessible, and empowering. She focuses on building strong foundations and good technique so clients feel capable and confident in their bodies- whether they’re completely new to strength training or looking to push themselves further.
Her passion for coaching grew from her own fitness journey, where she discovered just how powerful strength training can be for both physical and mental wellbeing. Emily loves helping people realise they’re capable of more than they think and creating a supportive environment where clients feel encouraged to challenge themselves.
In Emily’s classes, you can expect a welcoming atmosphere, clear coaching, and a strong focus on technique and safe progression. Her goal is for every client to leave feeling stronger, more confident, and proud of what they’ve achieved.
Outside of the gym, Emily is usually training herself, chasing after her toddler, walking her dogs Pup and Milo, or juggling shift work alongside her fitness coaching.
